My Story
From Couch Potato to Fitness Coach
I used to be intimidated by gyms, especially by iron objects there - dumbbells, barbells, kettlebells. I lived into my mid-40's believing that physical training is "not for me", and became quite a typical middle-aged unfit, soft, overweight "couch-potato" man. One day, I lost my breath climbing stairs to the 2nd floor of my office building - and that was the turning point in my life. I "gave in" and signed up for training with Coach Kenny Mack of Empowered Recreation in Renton, WA in December 2012. I learned to love iron free weights, with kettlebells becoming my free weights of choice. I practiced proper nutrition habits, changed my entire lifestyle. I got stronger - and younger -younger in mind and body. And, finally, I became a Coach to be able to share my story, my experience and knowledge with other men and women who might be at similar points of their lives as I was 8 years ago. I coach functional fitness, nutrition habits, and Self-Talk.

I created Sergey's Girya 3000 Cub with an idea to build a community of supportive, active individuals helping each other reach their health and fitness goals by combining three pillars of healthy lifestyle - training practices, nutrition habits, and positive mindset.

Our Process
Healthy lifestyle creation requires time and persistence. The good news is that this process is quite fun! At Girya 3000 Club, we believe that there are three major components to the healthy lifestyle of your choice: adequate physical activity, sustainable nutrition habits, and strong Self-Talk programs. As a member of the G3000 Club, you are in the driver seat for your fitness journey. You decide which components you focus on and when, and how intense your efforts are.
